1. What is your Return Policy?
1. What is your Return Policy?
At FishFinderDiscounts.com, we realize that all sales may not be final. If a customer makes a purchase and wish to return the product, they have 30 days to do so. We must be notified of the return within the first 30 days of the product leaving our warehouse in order to issue a return authorization number. There are some guidelines to follow when deciding to return a product. We prefer to ship our electronics via UPS, but can also ship through DHL (fixed rate $19.95 promo).
Orders usually ship within 24 hours with UPS Ground and DHL. FishFinderDiscounts.com warranties our products for 30 days after which the manufacturers warranty will take over. The warranty does not cover damage from fire, water, lightning, any other acts of nature or misuse. Call for an Authorization Numbers for all return items, within 30 days. Items over 30 days must be returned directly to the appropriate manufacturer, either warranty or otherwise, for repair and are not returnable to FishFinderDiscounts.com. Returns must be sent in the original factory packaging. 5. What kind of security does your site use? Customers can feel safe knowing FishFinderDiscounts.com is secured with the latest VeriSign encryption and SecurityMetrics certification. In the simplest terms, an electrical impulse from a transmitter is converted into a sound wave by the transducer and sent into the water. When this wave strikes an object, it rebounds. This echo strikes the transducer, which converts it back into an electric signal, which is amplified by the receiver and sent to the display. Since the speed of sound in water is constant (approximately 4800 feet per second), the time lapse between the transmitted signal and the received echo can be measured and the distance to the object determined. This process repeats itself many times per second. See our FREE Fish Finder Information for more details. 7. What parts come with a standard fish finder? A standard fish finder kit comes with a control head, transducer and sometimes a speedometer and temperature gauge. The control head is generally mounted in proximity to the driver for speed, depth and fish location information. In some instances, the control head will be located around the trolling motor for accurate depth and fish location while trolling. The transducer is generally mounted on the transom or in the hull. Speedometer and temperature gauges vary in location and application. A common setup will have a transom mounted speedometer with a built in temperature gauge. See our FREE Fish Finder Information for more detailed information. 8. Were do I mount the transducer?
Our FREE Fish Finder Information provides details on mounting options including Transom Mounts and Inside Hull Mounts.
With basic hand tool skills, most anyone should be able to successfully install a fish finder. You will need full access to the boat and therefore we would not recommend attempting to install the unit in water. Read and understand the complete installation manual before attempting installation. If you feel uneasy about any part of the installation or do not understand the concepts, please refer the task to a qualified individual. ![]() |
